EW review: "This virtual cosmetics counter brings more skin, fragrance, hair, and makeup brands to your screen than you'd find in a VH1 diva's overnight bag. Plus, everything's returnable, and you can even select which samples you want to arrive with your purchases. Beauty advice ranges from creative (gluing pressed flowers to your face, bindi-style) to questionable (lining your eyebrows with chartreuse pencil). Best feature? No saleshounds flogging that $25 ice-blue lip gloss--and forgetting to mention that looking like Laura Palmer is not so fabulous. A" |

Beautyhabit EW review: "Dying for another pot of that obscure French morning cream you just scraped clean? You can probably track it down at Teresa Mitchell's site. Showcasing a pleasant array of well-chosen, mostly European brands, the upscale Beautyhabit offers products that make elegant gifts for others as well as yourself. Revel in Grandiflorum fragrances and sudsy Terax Latte shampoo. Scent the room with a Comptoir Sud Pacifique Kumquat candle. Oops! You've just indulged yourself with all the gifts you'd planned to give. B+" |

FragranceNet EW review: "This site's Fragrance Finder helps narrow scents down (search by price, type of scent, and gender), but ultimately you need to smell it on yourself. Still, FragranceNet offers a vast selection of scents in all price ranges, from Tommy Hilfiger to Creed to Michael Jordan. All are guaranteed to be authentic and to be discounted, and the site will beat any competitor's price by 5 percent. Now, if they could only find a way to make your screen scratch-and-sniff. B+" |

Drugstore.com EW review: "Okay, we know--December isn't supposed to bring a box of Kleenex and cough syrup. But drugstore.com can be really useful, especially during the holidays, as it offers the usual drugstore brands at slightly lower prices (though savings can be minimal when you factor in shipping). And you've got to give the site credit for covering such massive territory with such convenience. You can fill your prescriptions online, stock up on shampoo and soap, even get advice from a pharmacist (via e-mail). Just remember to pick up some aspirin for any postmillennial meltdowns. B+" |

EW review: "New York City's refuge to the stars has been known for helping Julia Roberts unwind postproduction and for body wrapping Uma Thurman with essential oils, but it also offers its chichi products to the common beauty addict. Though it takes weeks to get an appointment for their famous lemon peel, you can treat yourself at home (and for much less cash) with the product in a tube. Bliss also carries makeup (Stila, Shu Uemura) and skin care (La Mer, Remede), as well as a good set of brushes. If you really want to get into it, slip into a pair of Sensi spa sandals, beehive a towel on your head, and feel like a movie star as you surf. B" |
